While in Pignon, Willhelmina and I attended a meeting for a non-denominational group of women who meet each Sunday afternoon. This group called “Dorcas” has an amazing ministry meeting practical needs in the community like Dorcas did in the book of Acts. My favorite part is that they are national women who see needs and feel compelled to meet them. Several of them go to the local hospital nearly every day to pray with patients. They distribute food and clothes as they become available. They do a monthly meal for those in the community and surrounding area who are needy.
My favorite part of the meeting was the singing and the ladies reciting in unison about four or five chapters or long passages from the Bible. It was beautiful.
